What does a DOT annual inspection cost?

An annual DOT inspection with Bright Inspect costs $99 for one vehicle. Fleet discounts apply per unit: 15% off for 2 to 3 units ($84.15 each) and 25% off for 4 to 7 units ($74.25 each). Each tractor, truck, trailer or bus is one unit, so a tractor with one trailer is 2 units. Same-day inspections carry no rush fee.

A unit is one truck, tractor, bus, van, trailer or converter dolly being inspected. Fleets of 8 or more get a custom quote.

What else should I count when comparing prices?

Compare the full cost, not just the inspection fee. A shop or station inspection can also cost the drive there and back, the wait, and the loads you don't haul that day. Bright Inspect is priced so the inspection happens without taking the vehicle off the road for the day.
